This reminded me of Eartha Kitt who has spoken so eloquently about being mixed race, something about not being wanted by either group, and how much she would have enjoyed this inauguration. She was alive when Obama was elected but she was obviously very sick. Miss Kitt had a hard and cool personae but I've always been struck by how human she came across as when being interviewed. Even when she growled at her interviewer. I don't know how much joy Miss Kitt was able to enjoy at the end, colon cancer sound pretty painful, other things may have been more important to her but I wish she had been able to see the inauguration. Diamonds not only lack divisibility, you can't infinitely divide them, but you're likely to take a bath when you try to sell. Gold is liquid and divisible, but between certification and storage fees you are spending a <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">fortune</span> before you get anything back. Real estate is the surest means to acquiring wealth. We have all seen what can happen when people get overextended buying houses they can't really afford. Eartha knew it might be nice to receive the present of "a pair of apartment houses labeled hers and hers", but the best real estate to own is unimproved land.
